In this video we cover 3 seated positions for a comfortable meditation practice using yoga blocks or a rolled up blanket. Breathing technique

to calm and centre the mind.

In this video we use a technique called Nadhi Shodana, which from Sanskrit translates as purification (shodan) of the channel (nadhi). Our mind has a tendency to keep regretting or glorifying the past and getting anxious about the future. Nadi Shodhan pranayama helps to bring the mind back to the present moment. It works therapeutically for most circulatory and respiratory problems, releases accumulated stress in the mind and body effectively and relaxes it. It helps harmonise the left and right hemispheres of the brain, which correlate to the logical and emotional sides of our personality. The instructions in the video advise to start a practice with 5 cycles of breaths through left nostril, 5 cycles of breaths through right nostril and 5 cycles of breaths alternating between left and right. Namaste.
