“Power of Creative Expression”
5-Day Yoga and Macrame retreat in the stunning mountains of Montenegro
Join waitlist for August, 26th -30th 2026
Our return in 2026 is not about saving or repairing what is broken, but about serving those ready to awaken to their own creative power. This retreat calls you to remember that you are the creator of your life — to shift into a frequency where love, joy, and peace are not fleeting moments, but the foundation you build upon.
Ashuma is not simply a venue — it is a sanctuary. Returning for the third time, we are welcomed into its evolving embrace, now with a sauna and plunge pool to deepen rest and renewal of the physical body. Here, the spirit of service is mirrored in the land itself: mountains, sea, and stillness offering exactly what is needed, when it is needed.

“There is no instant gratification. You will reach the ultimate way of being present”
This program was born from the vision of two women tying knots of connection, friendship, and love for life. Together we brought into existence something entirely new — a unique and empowering fusion of yoga practices and the ancient art of macramé. A collaboration between Love Life Retreats and VIITTA House, it is offered as an invitation for you to step into the mindset of the creator.
Macramé is an ancient technique of tying knots using only your hands and a length of rope. From these simple knots emerge intricate patterns that can become pieces for interior design, fashion, or spiritual practice. “Each handmade garment becomes your spiritual armour — knotted with your own hands and your own intentions. When you wear it, you feel empowered and supported,” says Violetta, founder of VIITTA House.
During our retreat, you will learn to weave intention into every knot, creating a bespoke VIITTA Hoody with your own hands. This piece will carry your energy, your focus, and your creativity — a reminder that you are the maker of possibilities.
The transformative fusion of yoga and macramé is designed to cultivate mindfulness and presence. With every breath, posture, and knot, you will train your awareness to rest in the moment. You will learn to trust your body, your intuition, and your hands as they guide you step by step — knowing you cannot move forward until the current knot is complete. In this way, macramé becomes meditation: a flow state where time dissolves, leaving only you and your creation.

The Programme
Each day unfolds in a rhythm of presence — morning yoga asana and meditation, nourishing meals, creative workshops such as macramé and mandala art, space for rest and exploration, and evening circles. Nothing is forced; practices are offered as invitations, not demands.
The retreat serves you by meeting you where you are, allowing growth and insight to arise naturally.

Our 2026 retreat will be unlike any we’ve hosted before — a truly transformative cocoon for heightened states of awareness.
Here’s how this experience will be different:
A true retreat from the world. For five days, we’ll remain within the sanctuary of Ashuma. This space becomes a cocoon of stillness, where transformation unfolds. If you’d like to explore the breathtaking beauty of Montenegro, we suggest arriving early or staying a little longer before or after the retreat.
Digital detox. To deepen presence, all phones will be safely stored until the end of the retreat. You’ll be given an emergency contact number to share with family, so you can rest fully and reconnect without distraction.
The tapestry of life. Exploring Tantra Yoga through one of its meanings — tapestry — we’ll weave practices of asana, meditation, and pranayama together with the ancient art of macramé. This mindful knotting becomes a moving meditation, an embodied way to experience the interconnectedness of life.
Dining
In this cozy dining hall, breakfast and dinner are served everyday, and for lunch one can choose meals from a designed ašuma menu.
Vegetarian and vegan menu in buffet style.
Ashuma’s international chefs can please you with different world cuisines, which means not a single meal will be repeated twice.
